ABOUT
Meet Megan Furderer
Common Ground Canine was built on a simple idea: training works best when the dog and the family are on the same team. Based in Dayton, Ohio, Megan works one-on-one with dogs and their people in the place training actually has to hold up, home.
Whether it's a new puppy learning the basics, an adolescent dog working through reactivity, or an adult dog ready for reliable off-leash freedom through e-collar training, the goal is always the same: find the common ground between what your dog understands and what you need, and build from there.

What Guides the Work
Five values shape every evaluation, every session, and every plan Megan builds for you and your dog.
Natural
Training that fits into real life, not a performance for the sake of it.
Grounded
Calm, consistent methods built on trust rather than pressure alone.
Approachable
No judgment, no jargon. Just honest guidance for you and your dog.
Confident
Clear communication gives dogs the confidence to make good choices.
Real
Every dog and every household is different, and the plan reflects that.
